A large earthquake disaster measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale happened in Wenchuan County of southwest China's Sichuan Province at 2:28 p.m on May 12, 2008，killing nearly tens of thousands Chinese people. The news was flashed around country and the whole nation was shocked and saddened by this tragic news. Donations and offers of help were coming in thick and fast. All people nationwide including local organizations enterprises, institutions and the masses donated funds and materials to victims immediately after the calamity. Party and the government also carried out an unprecedented scale relief work plan with immediate effect.
